Brett Collson reported on PokerNews.com yesterday that Nevada & Delaware could launch their online interstate, real-cash poker play as early as this Summer. (Gov. Brian Sandoval Eyes Summer Launch for Nevada/Delaware Internet Poker Compact).
The two states announced their agreement to cooperate (learn more about their online poker play partnership) in late February. The partnership is for poker play only, and will allow the states to share player pools. Players in each state can compete against players in the other state. Partnering in this way, creates the opportunity for a greater variety of poker games for players and obv. for each state to earn more cash.
Today, New Jersey is the only other state that allows online cash poker games. No word yet on whether New Jersey might consider joining with Delaware and Nevada.
